We believe that having a warm home shouldn’t affect the environment; so we are committing to to turning the south east green with renewable heating solutions. But why is this so important?
The Problem
The world is warming at an alarming rate, with temperatures showing no sign of slowing. This is not only affecting the way we live but also the natural world. Our oceans are now clogged with plastic, and are now warmer than ever. This may sound like a good thing, but for the wildlife and habitats it is a real problem. Coral reefs are dying, which means the incredible wildlife within them are dying too. We are in the midst of the 6th mass extinction, with an estimated 2 Million species a year going extinct. Climate change is a huge part of this problem. Its not only wildlife that is at risk…. We are too!
The dangers we face
If global temperatures continue to rise, sea levels will rise which will flood our lower lying cities. Catastrophic weather events will become more frequent, and the entire way we live may change completely.
What can we do?
One major way we can fight this danger is revolutionizing the way we power our homes. Carbon Dioxide emissions are the main cause of global warming; homes that are poorly insulated emit Co2 into the atmosphere from the gas, oil or LPG boiler you use. So, to stop global warming we should ensure our homes are insulated and we heat our homes in a Green renewable way.
What other reasons are there to go green?
Luckily, the government will pay you for going green. the Renewable Heat Incentive is the scheme were by you will be financially reimbursed for your installation, in excess of 75% of your install cost!
